Watches are a Man's Best Friend- Just Ask the Bachelorette

June 12th, 2017

For those of you who haven't been watching, this season's Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, has totally redefined what it means to be The Bachelorette- she's smart, well spoken, beautiful, and arguably one of the most independent and strong leads the show has ever had. On her unconventional quest for love, Rachel takes her suitors on the kind of dates most people only dream about but this week's first date took us somewhere familiar…

Rachel and her date for the day, Bryan, were strolling the streets of Geneva, Switzerland as Rachel explains to the audience "I like to treat my man, but never have I treated my man like I'm going to treat a man today." Shopping in Switzerland could only mean one thing… WATCHES! Cue our excitement as Rachel and Bryan enter the BREITLING boutique for the ultimate Swiss date.

If you're like us, this Bachelorette shopping spree had you on the edge of your seat waiting to see which watches the couple would put on. After going through a few different styles, Rachel asked Bryan how he felt about the black leather Navitimer on his wrist- he loved it to which Rachel replied "Well, I'm going to get it for you." leaving him in awe. She then looked at the associate and added that she would be taking a Galactic sleek, also on a black leather band to match Bryan's, taking his and hers accessories to a whole new level.

We loved seeing Rachel break the dating tradition of women being the only recipient of jewelry- the old saying goes "diamonds are a girl's best friend" but for the man in your life, a timepiece is just as special a gift. It's a piece that will last a lifetime and will always remind you of how important time is when spent with people you love.

We're rooting for Bryan on this one- he's got a great woman and now a great watch. What more could a guy ask for?
